The State Wireless Association Program, or SWAP, is an organization dedicated to uniting telecom related companies residing in the same state with one another. Each SWAP organization has a user base, and is sponsored by an array of large telecom companies. Outings and events are frequent, but web traffic, is not.

Amedia Creative was contracted to develop a web portal (designed more like a web application framework) to provide all the SWAP web sites with a myriad of options and enhance their functionality and user interface. Amedia Creative proposed a portal with an assortment of features such as creating accounts, referring friends, several information feeds from leaders in the industry, tagging and submitting articles, a member discussion forum, posting and responding to events, paying for events, and sponsoring the web site. Naturally, these features are supported and controlled by a custom build web site management tool. This gives the Administrator of each SWAP web site the ability to reject articles, view web stats, change the content on static pages, manage banner ads, sponsorships, events and their corresponding photos - even the user accounts.

So far, Amedia Creative has worked with five states: Arizona, Florida, Washington, Oregon, and Kentucky. Each state’s site is fueled by the same web portal architecture, while the individual design of each site is customized to fit the organization.
